These terms are sometimes used interchangeably which can bring confusion. Essentially, power washing and pressure washing focus more on a higher level of water pressure used, also known as PSI (pounds per square inch). High levels of pressure can be used on concrete effectively, but can ruin shingles on a roof. We commonly use a soft wash approach that depends more on the use of detergents to break down grime and a low pressure wash to remove it from surfaces while avoiding damage to the home. Soft wash tends to be 400-600 PSI whereas pressure washing can reach over 3,000 PSI.

It all depends on the environment. A house with dense tree coverage and foliage can cause quicker and widespread mildew growth, whereas a new construction home has little to no trees. Rural homes may need annual cleaning while homes in town may need bi-annual cleaning.

We can work throughout the entire state, but most of our projects are in central Iowa around Ames and the Des Moines metro area.

We offer pricing discounts for any recurring services like house washes, gutter cleaning, and other services. Recurring work can be annual, quarterly, or monthly service. We also do bundle discounts for additional services added to the total project. Our referral program also gives a great discount. For every neighbor you refer to us we take 10% off of your project if scheduled on the same day!

We take extra precautions to keep your trees and plants safe while we service your property. We pre-rinse every plant near the area to keep detergents from resting and soaking in and rinse again after the cleaning is complete. We’ve seen this as a highly effective method to maintain your landscaping.

Yes, as long as you have a water spigot we should be fine. We won’t need to use any hoses or tools, just access to water. We do have ways to bring water to the site, but will need to charge extra to do so.

Oxidation is caused by direct sunlight breaking down the pigment on vinyl and metal siding over time. It leaves behind a chalky substance creating a dull appearance. It's not as much of an eyesore as heavy mildew, but can be notably improved with a restoration process at an additional cost.

No. For most jobs all we need is access to a working water spigot and to have all your windows closed near the area we are cleaning.
